GBLbiotech Pty Ltd expressly disclaims any representation that content provided
through any of these channels constitutes professional medical guidance. You should

2. Product Classification and Intended Use

Silent Light™ is a non-invasive wearable photobiomodulation device that emits near-
infrared and/or red-spectrum light energy to the upper airway and surrounding tissue. It
is designed as a consumer wellness aid to support upper airway comfort during sleep.

Silent Light™ is not intended to:

  • Diagnose any medical condition
  • Treat, manage, or cure obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or any other respiratory
    disorder
  • Replace CPAP, BiPAP, or any other positive airway pressure therapy
  • Replace oral appliance therapy prescribed by a qualified dentist or sleep
    specialist
  • Substitute for professional medical consultation or supervision

Regulatory Note: Silent Light™ is classified as a general wellness product. It is not
registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as a medical device for the
treatment of any medical condition. Users should be aware of this classification when
making health decisions.

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, suspect you may have sleep apnea,
or have any other sleep-related medical condition, you must consult a qualified
medical professional before using Silent Light™. This device is not a substitute for
professional medical assessment or treatment.

3. No Guarantees of Results

Individual results will vary. GBLbiotech Pty Ltd makes no guarantees, representations,
or warranties - express or implied - regarding:

  • Reduction in snoring frequency or intensity
  • Improvement in subjective or objective sleep quality
  • Improvement in breathing patterns during sleep
  • Any specific short-term or long-term health outcomes

The effectiveness of the device may vary significantly depending on individual
physiology, underlying health conditions, adherence to usage instructions, and other
factors outside GBLbiotech Pty Ltd’s control.

4. Contraindications - Do Not Use If:

Silent Light™ must not be used by individuals who:

  • Are under 18 years of age
  • Have implanted electronic medical devices (including cardiac pacemakers,
    implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, cochlear implants, or neurostimulators)
    unless written approval has been obtained from their treating physician
  • Have a diagnosed photosensitivity disorder, including but not limited to lupus
    erythematosus or solar urticaria
  • Have epilepsy or a seizure disorder that may be triggered by light stimulation
  • Are currently taking photosensitising medications (including certain antibiotics
    such as tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, sulfonamides; antifungals; diuretics;
    NSAIDs; or chemotherapy agents) - consult your prescribing physician or
    pharmacist
  • Have open wounds, active skin infections, inflammatory dermatological
    conditions, or known malignant tissue at or near the intended application site on
    the neck or upper airway region

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, living with a chronic medical condition, or currently
under active medical supervision for any reason, consult your healthcare provider
before initiating use of Silent Light™.

5. No Physician - Patient Relationship

The purchase or use of Silent Light™, access to any GBLbiotech Pty Ltd website, or
communication with any GBLbiotech Pty Ltd representative does not establish a
physician–patient relationship, nor any other professional healthcare relationship,
between you and GBLbiotech Pty Ltd or any of its employees, agents, or affiliates.

6. Limitation of Liability for Health Claims

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GBLbiotech Pty Ltd shall not be
liable for any loss, harm, or adverse outcome arising from or in connection with:

  • Misinterpretation of any information provided on this website, in product
    materials, or through customer communications
  • Self-diagnosis or self-treatment of any medical condition
  • Failure to seek, follow, or disclose relevant professional medical advice
  • Use of the device contrary to the instructions for use or contrary to the advice of a qualified healthcare provider
  • Use inconsistent with the provided user manual or product labelling

Your decision to use Silent Light™ is entirely voluntary. Use of this device is undertaken
at your own risk. Nothing in this disclaimer limits any rights you may have under
applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Emergency Warning

Seek immediate medical attention if you or someone in your care experiences any of
the following:

  • Witnessed apneas (observed, repeated cessation of breathing during sleep)
  • Excessive or unexplained daytime sleepiness that impairs daily functioning
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Severe or sudden respiratory distress
  • Irregular or rapid heartbeat upon waking
