FAQ's
How does Silent Light work?
Silent Light delivers low-intensity red light to the skin surface. This form of light technology, often referred to as photobiomodulation, has been widely studied for its interaction with cells and tissue.
The device is designed to support normal upper airway comfort during sleep. It does not mechanically force the airway open and does not deliver air pressure.
Is Silent Light a treatment for sleep apnoea?
No. Silent Light is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent sleep apnoea or any other medical condition. Individuals diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea should follow the advice of their healthcare professional. If you use CPAP or another prescribed therapy, consult your healthcare provider before using Silent Light.
Is Silent Light safe?
Silent Light is a non-invasive wearable device designed for external use only. It does not penetrate the body, does not emit heat at harmful levels, and does not deliver electrical stimulation. As with any wearable device, discontinue use if skin irritation occurs and consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns.
Who is silent light suitable for?
Silent Light is designed for adults seeking support for nighttime airway comfort and quieter sleep environments.
It is not intended for:
• Children
• Individuals with diagnosed sleep apnoea without medical supervision
• Anyone advised against light-based therapies by their healthcare provider
Is there scientific research behind red light technology?
Low-level red light technology (photobiomodulation) has been widely studied for its interaction with cells and tissue. Silent Light applies this established light technology in a wearable format. Silent Light itself is not presented as a therapeutic medical treatment but as a support device consistent with Class I classification.
Does Silent Light make medical claims?
No. Silent Light is listed as a Class I medical device and is intended to support general airway comfort during sleep. It does not claim to treat or cure medical conditions.
